After your free trial at Fuzion Kickboxing Academy, you can ask Rich any questions, decide whether the classes feel right for you and join on a monthly membership if you want to continue. Rich will often check in by WhatsApp, phone or in person, and you will also receive a follow-up email. There is no pressure to decide before you understand what happens next.

What happens at the end of the trial class?

Your free trial is a chance to experience a real Fuzion class, meet the coaching team and see how the group trains. Once the session finishes, Rich will often speak to you in person and answer any questions about the classes or membership.

If there is not enough time to talk properly after class, Rich may follow up by WhatsApp or phone. You will also receive an email after your trial.

You do not need to understand everything after one session. Ask about the timetable, equipment, which class is most suitable or anything else that would help you decide.

How do I join Fuzion?

If you decide to join, Rich will send you a GoCardless link. You complete the form to set up your monthly Direct Debit, and Rich handles the remaining membership setup. You will then receive a confirmation email.

New members also receive a Fuzion T-shirt at their first class after joining.

Fuzion does not offer drop-in or pay-as-you-go training. Martial arts skills develop through regular coaching and practice, so membership is designed around consistent training rather than occasional one-off sessions.

There is no long fixed-term commitment; membership operates on a monthly basis. Prices are discussed directly with Rich rather than published online.

What happens in my first few classes as a member?

Come to class, join in at your level and keep showing up. The group will welcome you, and Rich and the coaching team are there if you are unsure about a drill, technique or part of the class.

You are not expected to know everything straight away. Early sessions are about becoming familiar with the class structure, learning the foundations and building consistency.

Technical Sparring is open to all ability levels, including beginners, but it is not used as a first free-trial class. Brand-new visitors should begin with Adult Kickboxing.

How often should a beginner train?

For children, the usual starting recommendation is one class per week. For adults, it is normally one or two classes per week.

That gives beginners time to practise regularly while allowing their fitness, confidence and skills to develop steadily. If you are unsure which sessions to attend, ask Rich what best fits your experience and schedule.

Do I need to buy gloves immediately?

No. Fuzion has gloves available to borrow, so you do not need to buy a pair before you begin.

If you continue training, buying your own gloves is recommended for comfort and hygiene. Ask Rich or the team before purchasing if you are unsure which type or size is suitable.

Is the joining process different for children and adults?

No. The basic joining process is the same. Rich can answer questions after the trial, send the GoCardless form and complete the membership setup.

The main difference is choosing the correct class:

What if I am still unsure after the trial?

That is fine. You can ask Rich about the training, suitable classes and what membership involves before deciding. He may check in again after the trial, but the important thing is that you have the information you need.

If you have not booked your trial yet, choose your free class online. If you are unsure which class is right, contact Fuzion before booking.
