Can You Try Kickboxing Without a Long-Term Contract?

3 min read

Yes. At Fuzion Kickboxing Academy, your first class is free, so you can experience the coaching, atmosphere and training before deciding whether to continue.

If you join afterwards, the commitment is one month. Fuzion does not offer drop-in or pay-as-you-go training because kickboxing skills are developed through consistent practice, not isolated sessions.

What does the free trial commit you to?

Nothing beyond attending the class you have booked.

The trial gives adults, children and parents an opportunity to see what training at Fuzion is actually like. You can meet Rich, take part in the session and decide whether the academy feels right for you.

You do not need to purchase equipment beforehand. Gloves are available to borrow, and comfortable black sports clothing is suitable for your first session.

What happens after the trial?

Rich will often speak to you after class and may follow up later by WhatsApp or telephone.

There is no pressure to decide immediately. If you would like to continue, Rich will explain the membership process and answer any questions.

The process is the same for adults and children.

How does membership work?

When you are ready to join, Rich sends you a GoCardless link to set up the monthly Direct Debit.

He then completes the remaining setup, you receive a confirmation email, and your Fuzion T-shirt is provided at your first class as a member.

Prices are discussed privately rather than published online.

Why doesn't Fuzion offer drop-in classes?

Kickboxing, boxing and Muay Thai are skills that develop through repetition, coaching and regular attendance.

A single occasional session may provide a workout, but it does not create the same progression. Regular training allows Rich and the team to help you improve your technique, fitness, confidence and control over time.

That is why Fuzion uses monthly membership rather than casual drop-in or pay-as-you-go sessions.

How often should a beginner attend?

Children usually begin with one class each week.

Adult beginners generally train once or twice per week, depending on their schedule and goals. You do not need to start with every available class. Consistent attendance matters more than trying to do too much immediately.

Is this suitable for complete beginners?

Yes. Complete beginners are welcome in adult kickboxing classes, and children are placed into suitable age groups:

  • Tiny Dragons: ages 5–6

  • Little Ninjas: ages 7–9

  • Cadets: ages 10–15

  • Children's Mixed: ages 7–15

Technical Sparring welcomes all ability levels, but it is not used as someone's first free-trial class.
